Happy Kwanzaa from George Kilpatrick Inspiration for the Nation! Davine Bey, Head of Talent Management at Syracuse University, shares the principle of Ujamaa or Cooperative Economics, maintaining and supporting our communities economically.

One of the ways black communities, in particular, can prosper, is if individuals support these entrepreneurs in the community. It’s an immigrant tradition. This is one way for the community to grow, create and generate new wealth. I love the idea of cash mobs, so you and 10 of your friends decide that you are going to spend each to make a small-business person happy. The big- box stores can wait.
